Digital Publishing: Maximizing Revenue by Meeting the Demand for Customized Content
There was a time when picking out a book meant going to a library and signing one out. Today, readers expect content to be available through a variety of distribution channels—in both print and digital formats. CMMS Software for Hire
Application Service Provision (ASP).There has been a trend in recent years towards the use of remote software services through application service providers. These are companies who make software applications available via the Internet to users who, rather than buying software, pay rental fees for it. The software does not have to be installed locally, the application being available through any web browser, and all support and maintenance is handled by the service provider. CMMS vendors are not the only ones offering these solutions. CAD modelling, engineering design, finance packages, purchasing, ERP and even your company Intranet can now be rented. This is an expanding sector and the signs are that major growth is about to take place. Earlier problems with slow data transfer speeds, communication costs and data security have largely been eliminated and this has made ASP a very attractive proposition. This is clearly illustrated by the proliferation of systems that have become available over the last three or four years with most of the major CMMS vendors now offering an ASP option.

CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RANKS FOR PUBLISHING HOUSE: RFID ... For Customers? RFID ... For Customers? Ann Grackin - March 18, 2005 Read Comments Introduction Recently I spoke at the National Retail Federation[1] in the center of retail: New York City! The big buzz this year, no surprise, was about RFID. Since much of the current activity has been focused on logistics—a clear winner as a starting point—we are missing the dialogue on the consumer side of the retail equation—merchandising, and most important, the customer experience. I was pleased to be

Tiers for Fears
For many organizations, IT is split between two groups. The data center facility is provided and managed by facilities management, while the IT equipment within the facility is provisioned and managed by the IT department. This can lead to problems—and an outsourced solution can allow a business to concentrate on its strategy, rather than on “keeping the lights on.” This white paper discusses the importance of a holistic approach between a data center facility and the equipment within it.
